Grand Master Yousef
Grand Master Waleed Yousef is a 7th degree black belt and co-owner of Yousef Tae Kwon Do School Family Fitness + Wellness.
Born in Iraq, Grand Master left his country of origin in 1977 with his eight family members due to government corruption and persecution. After traveling three years, he legally arrived in this great country he now calls home. Ten years after leaving Iraq, Grand Master became a proud, legal citizen of the United States of America.
Shortly after arriving in the US, Grand Master was introduced to the world of Taekwondo. Finding strength and community in the world of Taekwondo he felt a sense of security he didn't have prior, living in a new country where he was still new to a different language and lifestyle. It was that introduction that changed the trajectory of his life. About ten years after leaving Iraq, Grand Master opened his first Taekwondo School and his passion for the art never wavered. Continuing his quest for excellence he has competed in many local state and National tournaments, winning many awards.
Grand Master is proud of the work done within the walls of their studio, the students he has trained, the children he has guided, and the work done within the community.
